1. Past NJCL Officer Interviews

My favorite part of the JCL history that is available on the website is the last section of the pdf, which is dedicated to describing what former NJCL presidents are doing "now" (2003).

It's been a few years since then, so, why not bring this back?

I would like to expand it to any past NJCL officer of any position, and instead of documenting their experiences in writing, I would record short interviews to post both on social media and on the website.

These interviews would mostly explore how life looks for them beyond the JCL: SCL, College, and even beyond. While I plan to write some questions myself, I hope to open a Google Form for you to submit questions as well!!

Through this, I hope to highlight our more recent organizational history in addition to our past accomplishments. I also hope they show just how much your time in the JCL sticks with you, and makes you excited for the future!

Our shared history and experiences are what unite us as a national organization. I want you to feel that sense of connection, both with current and past JCLers, even when we aren't gathered together at Convention!

I think giving each JCL chapter a short highlight in the final scrapbook can show that even when we're separated by distance, your efforts throughout the year to host events and engage with the classics don't go unnoticed (but not in a creepy way)!

For states that did not have chapters submit to Photo of the Month, I plan to reach out to them asking if there are one or two photos from the year that they would like to see included.

I know that was a lot of information/text, so if you are curious about anything and don't get the chance to stop by Meet the Candidates or Open Forum, please don't be scared to ask me in person if we cross paths!!
